Mark Moncino, MD FAAP
What differentiates Dr. Moncino is that he cares for the entire family, not just your child. And it’s personal. Dr. Moncino and his wife have two children with ADD and dyslexia, and at the tender age of 45, Dr. Moncino realized that he, too, has dyslexia. That’s why taking care of kids, teens and young adults with developmental challenges—in a family-centered, supportive way—is a passion that hits close to home.
So, first and foremost, Dr. Moncino is committed to cultivating a close relationship with you and your family. He views his role as partnering with parents to address the
challenges that get in the way of their child’s success. Dr. Moncino’s view is that central to developing solutions and plans to address your child’s needs is his responsibility to assist parents to fully understand their essential role in advocating for and helping their child. He approaches patient care as a long term relationship, not a business transaction.
He’s also a staunch advocate for evidence-based medicine and the critical need for managing the overall care of the child, not just need answering the question at hand, or for that matter, prescribing a medication. Dr. Moncino firmly believes that managing care is about much more than prescribing.
And Dr. Moncino has long been an advocate of telemedicine: medical care provided for established patients, when appropriate, through video conferencing, phone visits, email and texts. While virtual care will never replace the hands-on care of face-to-face visits, it can/does supplement it.
In short, Dr. Moncino established GCADP to give your child the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
